The B-ARN-L shock-absorbing lanyard connects the harness to the anchor point and, above all, cushions what happens at the moment of arrest. Without an absorber, the force of a fall reaches the worker’s body in full; with one, the absorber webbing deploys in a controlled way and reduces that load to a tolerable level. Its 1-inch nylon webbing is resin-impregnated, a treatment that improves durability and abrasion resistance, making it especially appropriate when the worker moves frequently and the lanyard rubs against the structure.
The double-locking snap hooks at both ends require two deliberate motions to open, which prevents accidental release from contact or connector rotation. That said, correct use depends on three conditions. The anchorage must be sound, never a weak or fragile structure. It must connect to the dorsal D-ring of a full body harness, not to a positioning belt. And fall clearance must be calculated, adding the lanyard length, absorber elongation and the worker’s height. It is not intended for electrician work or telecommunications with exposure to electrical wiring. Remove it from service immediately if it has already arrested a fall, and inspect it before each shift, as required by NOM-017-STPS-2024.
Recommended for general construction work, scaffold work, building cleaning and repair, and forestry activities at height. Its resin-treated webbing suits work where the user changes position frequently and the lanyard contacts the structure. It fits civil works, structural assembly, industrial maintenance and building maintenance.
