The C-ANI-3 positioning belt shares the construction of the C-ANI-2 and adds a third D-ring at the back. That difference matters in the field: the two side rings receive the positioning lanyard to brace against a pole or structure, while the dorsal ring leaves an additional connection point free without having to reposition the belt. Otherwise, it keeps the 1 3/4 in high tenacity polyester webbing with absorbent edges, the 4-inch padded back support with textile lining and the forged tongue buckle, which allows a firm adjustment that can be verified at a glance.
That said, its scope should be stated precisely. This belt is positioning equipment, not fall arrest equipment: it is used together with a full body harness, never in its place. The belt’s dorsal ring does not replace the harness dorsal D-ring, because a belt concentrates the load at the waist instead of distributing it across the body. Therefore, include it within a complete system, with compatible anchorage and connection, inspection before each shift and user training, as required by NOM-017-STPS-2024. Remove it from service if it has been subjected to fall arrest. Supplied in a master case of 20 pieces.
Recommended for general construction work, scaffold work, building cleaning and repair, telephone towers, electrical sector activities and forestry.
