The ARN-L fall arrest harness is designed to distribute fall forces across the buttocks, shoulders, chest and torso, instead of concentrating them at a single point on the body. Its dorsal D-ring allows connection to compatible lifelines, while the lanyard keepers hold equipment in place during movement. The polyester textile webbing and nylon stitching give it a typical service life of five years under normal use and inspection conditions. In addition, the height-adjustable chest strap and the sub-pelvic strap allow the fit to be adapted to different builds without losing position.
Before assigning it to a crew, consider two points that define its scope. First, it is not intended for electrician work or telecommunications infrastructure with exposure to electrical wiring, nor for remaining suspended at heights. Second, it must be removed from service immediately if it has already arrested a fall, and inspected before each shift for cuts, abrasion or deformed hardware. Therefore, it should always be paired with a documented inspection program and user training, as required by NOM-017-STPS-2024 for the selection and management of PPE.
Recommended for general construction work, scaffold work, cleaning and repair of façades and buildings, and forestry activities at height. It fits civil works, industrial maintenance, building maintenance and high-rise cleaning services. Not recommended for electrical work, telecommunications with exposed wiring, or tasks involving prolonged user suspension.
