The B2-ARN-L double-leg lanyard solves the most vulnerable moment in work at height: changing anchor points. With a single-leg lanyard, the worker is disconnected for a few seconds while moving; with this Y configuration, they connect the second leg to the new anchorage before releasing the first, staying secured at all times. Its three steel snap hooks are each rated to 3,600 lbs, and the shock absorber dissipates the energy generated in a fall so it does not reach the body in full.
This device forms an integral part of a basic fall arrest system, together with the full body harness and the anchorage device: none of the three works on its own. One warning from the technical data sheet also deserves emphasis: it must never be replaced by restraint or positioning lanyards, since those have no energy absorber. Always connect it to the dorsal D-ring of a full body harness, verify that the anchorage is sound, and calculate available fall clearance by adding the lanyard length, absorber elongation and the worker’s height. Remove it from service immediately if it has already arrested a fall, and inspect it before each shift, as required by NOM-017-STPS-2024. Supplied in a case of 20 pieces.
Recommended for general construction work, scaffold work, building cleaning and repair, telephone towers, electrical sector activities and forestry. It is especially suitable for climbing ladders or structures and for horizontal movement requiring repeated re-anchoring, since it allows this without disconnecting. It fits structural assembly, telecommunications, civil works and industrial maintenance.
