NORMATIVAS Y CERTIFICACIONES
113-STPS-2009 TIPO III + TIPO II + TIPO VI TENIS DE SEGURIDAD
The ARN-5A-L positioning harness goes a step beyond simple fall arrest. Its five D-rings divide the work: the sliding dorsal ring receives the lanyard and adjusts itself to the user’s back, the two side rings allow connection of a positioning lanyard to work with both hands free, and the two upper rings enable rescue and assisted descent maneuvers. In addition, the 1 3/4 in webbing and the sub-pelvic strap distribute the load better than a narrow-webbing harness, which makes a difference on long shifts on structure.
Compared with the ARN-L, the practical difference lies in the type of task: that model handles fall arrest on job sites and scaffolding, while this one was designed for workers who stay in position on towers, poles or structures. It is available with tongue buckles or with QR safety buckles, depending on whether the crew prefers fine adjustment or speed when putting it on. Keep in mind that its hardware is metallic: if the work involves electrical shock risk, the suitable model is the ARN-DIELEC-L. Otherwise, select it within a complete system with compatible anchorage and connection, pre-shift inspection and user training, as required by NOM-017-STPS-2024. Supplied in a master case of 10 pieces.
Recommended for general construction work, scaffold work, building cleaning and repair, telephone towers, electrical sector activities and forestry. It is especially useful when the worker must hold a position on a structure and needs both hands free. It fits telecommunications, structural assembly, industrial maintenance and civil works.
